The department of Facilities Planning & Management is the behind-the-scenes, unsung, 24/7, Leatherman Multitool of the University of Wisconsin–Madison. If they're doing their jobs properly (which they are) you'll never know it. Unless we make a video about it: watch it here.
Our client, thysse, brings design, architecture, and branding together in ways that inspire the people who use these spaces everyday—and wanted to show the world how it works. From writing, storyboards, site visits, production, motion graphics we produced a video that works to inform and energize new and potential clients. Watch the video.
It's been a busy Spring in the studio at Tack Video Production. We've been working with ace Art Director and friend Paul Bartlett on a campaign for Mounds Pet Food Warehouse that uses flat stock, motion graphics, animation, green screen to create a fun, fast, and quirky splash scored by an earworm of a song that will leave you believing you gotta get down. Watch the video.
Capturing the sights and sounds of the annual Sugar Maple Music Festival was a great way to close out the summer. The energy and atmosphere of the two day event, plus interviews with organizers, fans, and performers was, like attending the event itself, a friendly and fun way to spend a couple of days in August. Watch the video.
Nothing connects the viewer to your product quite like removing the world around it. Whereas a white sweep provides a clean background to focus attention, a cyclorama (or "cyc"), creates an infinite space for dynamic interaction, movement and post-production possibilities. Watch the video.
We spent three days at the Arizona Biltmore Resort for HealthShare, a symposium presented by Healthgrades. In addition to producing the opening video to kick things off, we captured the speakers, sessions, and events; pulling it together on site to create the closing video—attendees love to see the retrospective of the event before they even leave. It's a concept we've been producing all around the country for six years running. Watch the video.
The Chinese New Year began on February 16th, it's the Year of the Dog. To celebrate we began another project with the Andis Company—specifically their line of hair (fur?) clippers for dogs. Two days in the studio working with eleven products, dozens of accessories, four dogs, three groomers, two cameras, five lights and one very upset cat.
We finished 2017 strong with a series of videos for the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation that feature people from around the state who have discovered, returned to, or have stayed in Wisconsin to create a quality of life that they could only find here. Working with our subjects during pre-production, we're able to present opportunities that illustrate their unique stories, ask questions that uncover personalities, and show a little of what their life is like in Wisconsin. This is an on-going project throughout 2018, but the first couple in the series can be found here and here.
