Youth Apprenticeship Program
We recently spent a few days in Waunakee talking to students, teachers, employers and parents about Wisconsin's Youth Apprenticeship Program. The result is a good example of communicating a larger story of success through smaller, conversational interviews from a range of people and areas of interest. No single participant is responsible for the content, rather each is comfortable speaking to their experience, which we then construct in the edit to create a larger, connected, story of success. Putting interview subjects at ease is particularly important for people (like these High School students) who may feel "performance" pressure in front of the camera. It's critical to keep them conversational and engaged "in the moment" to convey the enthusiasm and emotional depth we intend. Everyone involved did great.
