We want to make the process of creating video content approachable. Tack projects are improved by open collaboration with our clients through all phases of development.
Plan the work and work the plan. Pre-production is the opportunity to gather information, organize it based on intended message, create that message, and deliver it as a working plan. First, the project
scope determines goals: who is our audience, and what do we want them to think, feel or do? From
there we can create an estimate that works most efficiently to achieve those goals. Next up: writing scripts interview questions, outlines, titles and content elements that convey information, emotion, and purpose.
We create shot lists, keyframes or storyboards: whatever helps us visualize the production. Finally, we put it together in a plan that provides a framework for production. Gathering insight, uncovering obstacles, and allowing for creative opportunities to appear.
With solid pre-production in place we can make the most of our shoot schedule, working quickly and efficiently without any disruption to busy locations. Keeping our “eye on the edit” ensures that we'll capture dynamic content according to the plan, while identifying those targets of opportunity that add texture and depth to the final product. We have a small footprint, but with the capacity to scale to whatever the project scope calls for. We've directed everyone from television personalities, CEOs, actors and artists, to inventors, surgeons, nurses and patients to deliver engaging content. Whether through meticulously scripting, or by simply having a conversation, we'll do what it takes to achieve the right tone, voice and message.
In post-production all of our planning and ideation, as well as our visual and audio execution come together to create an experience. The tools we use are industry standard: editing, sound design, motion graphics and titles, and visual effects. Nothing is arbitrary here. Every shot is selected with purpose, every transition, every beat, to tell the story and convey the larger idea. From the initial edit where the project comes to life for our client, through each collaborative revision, we’ll explain the creative choices we’ve made and discuss feedback that helps to sharpen the focus and achieve the intended message. With the finish line in sight, the screws are tightened across the entire project: final color correction and audio mix, as well as
any small moves that remain. These details may be hard to spot, but they’d be missed if they weren’t there.
